There is no question about it, when it comes to parenting in this new generation we have so many options for baby essentials, especially diapers. It can be overwhelming to make a decision on what brand to choose, but we are here to help simplify that for you. There are traditional diapers that focus on absorbency, leading with a promise of 12-hour dryness. This may sound ideal but it is absolutely not sanitary and can be harmful to babies' skin health. There are also companies claiming their disposable diapers are biodegradable. It is important to find out which small parts of materials they use are biodegradable? There are at least 12 different materials/ingredients used for a functional diaper and there is no 100% biodegradable diaper today. Our modern technologies are not able to make that happen yet at a reasonable cost. When brands market this they neglect to mention their partially biodegradable diaper will not be decomposed within a few years. In fact, a biodegradable diaper still takes about 50 years to decompose in a landfill, all the while emitting methane, a harmful greenhouse gas.
Baby comfort is something we always focus on, a wet diaper is not comfortable. Most conventional diapers are bulky, swell and become very heavy when wet or soiled. Parasol developed an ultra-thin super soft natural diaper to keep the baby’s skin clear and dry while still being absorbent. We are also the first and only diaper with RashShield™ protection for sensitive skin. Our parents brag about Parasol qualities- they are super absorbent, ultra-soft, and super lightweight medical grade fabrics that instantly wick moisture and humidity away from the skin, locking its layers down to prevent irritating rash. Naturally, breathable fabrics keep your baby feeling fresh and airy, day and night. Our diapers are also high-waisted with soft 8-strand stretch which contours to all body types, for a secure but comfy fit that moves with baby without pinching or leaving red marks.
Our innovation is global.
While Parasol is conceived with love in Los Angeles, CA, it is a global company—researching and sourcing the highest quality materials and engineering technologies from Japan, Europe, Korea, Israel and the U.S. Parasol’s unique diaper design with RashShield® protection is the successful result of its co-founder’s relentless, entrepreneurial pursuit of a softer, more absorbent, rash-free diaper. We are always discovering, evolving, and advancing to bring superior products and healthier well-being to babies and their families.
Natural ingredients
Our natural ingredient list is simple and pure, and we only include what is absolutely necessary- with no compromises. Parasol’s Clear+Dry™ Natural Disposable Diapers are constructed using chlorine-free wood pulp, polypropylene nonwoven fabric, super absorbent polymer (sodium polyacrylate), polyethylene film, latex-free, hygiene-grade elastic. And always free of Chlorine, alcohol, dyes, chemicals, fragrances, lotion, parabens, phthalates, preservatives, latex, heavy metals.
Sustainability
There is always a debate between cloth and disposable diapers. Most modern families with both parents working full time may not find cloth diapers as an ideal option, as it does not align with their busy schedules. Some argue cloth diapers consume a lot more water and energy usage to produce. This is true considering how cotton is processed to become the fabric used in cloth diapers. Our approach to sustainability is to reduce, reuse and recycle. This is why we developed a thin core layer that uses only 30% of the amount of wood pulp used to make other traditional disposable diapers. Our wood pulp only comes from sustainably managed FSC certified forests. A lighter diaper allows us to use less energy for transportation. We help reduce the carbon footprint in each diaper change. Our thoughtfully designed bag and box are made with 90% recycled materials and they can be reused and recycled.
If you haven’t used Parasol Natural Diapers for your little ones yet, we’ve got you covered. Our diaper samples are packed in a pack of 14-6 for only $8. These next eight diaper changes will show you why so many parents (and happier babies) are upgrading to Parasol Co diapers.
