Why We Created Recovery Care™ Postpartum Underwear
For years, we kept hearing the same request: "Can you make something this soft and absorbent for us?"
Parents using our diapers noticed that if Parasol materials could keep baby skin dry and irritation-free, it could probably do the same for postpartum recovery and heavy periods. They were right, but between expanding into Target stores and focusing on the nursery category, we didn't have postpartum products in production.
Then we started paying more attention to the postpartum essentials already on shelves and in homes.
The products didn't match the moment
After testing several leading postpartum underwear options, the gap was clear: bulky, rough against healing skin, and lacking the rapid-dry performance that defines Parasol products.
As moms, we know a body recovering from birth needs the same thoughtful materials as newborn skin. Soft enough not to irritate. Absorbent enough to handle heavy bleeding. Clean and dry enough to support healing, not slow it down. So we built what we would have wanted for our postpartum selves: Recovery Care™ Postpartum Underwear.
We sent prototypes to 200 real moms
Last November, we produced the first version and sent it to over 200 moms for real-world testing, not a lab study or focus group. We wanted to know: does this actually work when you're bleeding heavily, moving around, trying to sleep, caring for a newborn?
After minor adjustments to sizing and switching to a finer, more breathable spandex, the second round came back with unexpected results: 100% said they loved it. No one wanted anything changed, and everyone wanted it launched immediately.
Even better: moms who'd already finished postpartum recovery kept using them for heavy menstrual cycles. The product worked beyond the original use case.
What makes these different

Our core wicks moisture away instantly. The speed of dryness is the first thing you'll notice, which is critical when tissue is healing and you just want to feel human again.
Fits like real underwear, not an adult diaper
We used super-fine, soft spandex that contours to your body without bulk. It feels like high-quality underwear because that's what it is: underwear with serious absorbency built in.
Soothe without fragrance
We included our signature alpha-bisabolol topsheet. During recovery, skin needs to stay as clean and protected as possible.
Two sizes, designed for real bodies
We're launching with M/L and L/XL, sized by waist and weight for the best fit. In hundreds of tests, we had one instance of leakage (likely a fit issue). Choosing the right size matters, and we want you to feel confident, not second-guessing.
